IONIC LODGE #31 REGULAR MEETING – SEPTEMBER 8, 2023

 Our Lodge met on September 8, for our first Regular Meeting meeting since  our Summer Break. In addition to the regular business meeting, our Degree Team conducted a 3rd Degree on Bro. Raoul Gongora.  Very well done & Congratulations to Bro. Gongora.  Our next Meeting will be on October 13th.

IONIC LODGE # 31 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 9TH 2023

Brethren, we held our last Regular Meeting before the Summer Break on June 9th. Bro. Leo Brennan was Initiated that evening.  Congratulations Bro. Brennan.  At the conclusion of the evening, the Brethren set up the for Saturday’s Steak & Lobster Social, which was a successful affair.  Congratulations to the Organizing Committee.  A job well done.  Our Lodge will next assemble in September.  Have a Great Summer.

IONIC LODGE # 31 REGULAR MEETING, APRIL 14, 2023

Brethren, Bro’s John Invidiado Jr & Raoul Gongora were passed to the Second Degree last evening.  Although I was not able to attend, I am told that the Degree Team did excellent work. Congratulations to all concerned.

IONIC LODGE #31 REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 13, 2023

 Brethren, our Lodge held it’s 1st regular meeting of 2023 on Friday the 13th. Lucky – Unlucky, you decide.  We were finally able to Initiate two new Brothers, under the guidance of our new W.M., V.W. Bro. Richard Gibbons and his Degree Team.  Bro’s John Invidiado Jr and Raoul Gongora were welcomed as Members of Ionic 31 and we all look forward to the continuation of their journey.  Congratulations to Bro. Gibbons and his team for a wonderful Degree and congratulations to our new Brothers.  Absent the meeting were two of our Stalwarts, M.W. Bro. Don Finan, under the weather with Covid and R.W. Bro. Glenn Hunter, presently undergoing Cancer treatment at the RUH, Saskatoon.  Get better soon, our thoughts and Prayers are with you.

IONIC #31 REGULAR MEETING – DECEMBER 9

 Brethren, we held our Regular Meeting on December 9th with 21 Members attending. Three of the Brethren were presented with Long Service Certificates & Pins.  A slate of New Officers for 2023 were installed.

V.W Bro. Kevin Garner presented 25 year Certificates and pins to W. Bro  Bob MacKay and V.W. Bro. Tom Dutton, along with W. Bro. Larry McDaid, who received his 36 Year Certificate & Pin.  Congratulations to all.  Our DDGM, R.W. Bro. Mark Barclay was also present.

IONIC LODGE #31 REGULAR MEETING – NOVEMBER 10, 2022

Brethren, our regular Lodge Meeting was held on Thursday, November 10.  Our normal date, Friday, fell on Remembrance Day.  R. W. Bro. Mark Barclay,  District # 7 DDGM held his  Official visit.  Our Lodge held it’s own Remembrance Service with Veterans attending and were recognized at the Alter.  Election of Officers for 2023 was held and the following Principal Officers were elected:

W. M  – V.W. Bro. Richard Gibbons

S. W.  – Bro. Ron Crush

J.W.  –  Bro. Bryan Anderson

The remainder of the Officers will be named by the W.M. on Installation Night, December 9. The DDGM concluded the evening with a informative address as to his DDGM Duties.

Bro. Jose Macalino was presented with his Master Masons Certificate by R.W. Bro. Mark Barclay. V.W. Bro. Kevin Garner, W.M. also gave his congratulations.

IONIC LODGE #31 REGULAR MEETING – OCTOBER 21, 2022

 Brethren, with the dispensation of our Grand Lodge, we held our Regular Meeting on October 21.  The Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan, M.W. Bro. Dean Elliott was in attendance and was welcomed to sit in the East by V.W. Bro. Kevin Garner.  The Regular Business having been attended to, the Grand Master, assisted my M.W. Bro. Don Finan made a number of presentations, as will be noted below.  The evening concluded with the Grand Master giving a very interesting address as to where Masonry could possibly be heading in the future.

 Bro’s Aru Davocol; Michael Rillo and Andrew Sneddon received Their Master Masons Certificates from M.W. Bro. Dean Elliott.   Also attending, V.W. Bro. Kevin Garner and R.W. Bro. Mark Barclay, District #7 DDGM.

Receiving their 25 year Certificates & Pins were, V.W. Bro. Bernie Meisner; V.W. Bro. Peter Hogger and R.W. Bro. Glenn Hunter

W. Bro. Marvin Bates received his 60 Year Certificate & Pin, quite an accomplishment.

R.W. Bro. Mark Barclay, outgoing District #7 Secretary  presented R.W. Bro. Kevin Monsebroten, the incoming Secretary, with the Secretaries Pin, which was originally donated by R.W. Bro. Bill Swiderski.

ION IC LODGE #31- REG JUNE 10 MEETING & STEAK & LOBSTER SOCIAL JUNE 11, 2022

Brethren, we held our Regular Monthly Meeting on June 10.  No Degrees.  Usual Business and conferring lapel pins on the 3 Principal Officers of the Lodge.  At the conclusion of the meeting the members helped to set up the hall for the following day’s Steak & Lobster Social. Thanks everyone.

Our Social was held on the following day with an excellent turnout.  A big thank you to the members who cooked the Lobsters and helped with the serving and cleanup.  Another great success.

IONIC LODGE #31 REG. MEETING – FRIDAY, APRIL 8, 2022

Brethren, we had a very successful meeting last evening with W. Bro. Barclay sitting in the East.  W. Bro. Galman was unable to attend and remained at home, looking after his Wife, Shirley, who was sick.  We missed you Bro. Galman, but rest assured that Bro. Barclay did a fine joy in your stead. We all wish Shirley a quick recovery.
Congratulations to Bro’s Macalino & Rillo, on their being raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. The Degree Team put on an excellent show and are to be congratulated as well.  The presentation of the Flags, Canadian, Saskatchewan and Masonic require comment. The presentations were very well done. Military precision.   Brethren, a job very well done. We are proud of you.
The meeting was preceded by a wonderful Supper put on by Bro’s Macalino & Rillo.  What can I say about the food…..delicious and lots of it.  Thank you Brethren and all those who helped.
