IONIC #31 REGULAR MEETING – NOVEMBER 9, 2018

We held our election of Officers for the upcoming year, 2019.  Installation will be held at our December Meeting.  Following that meeting, the Festive Board will consist of hors d’oeuvres, supplied by our W.M., W. Bro. Mark Barclay. Should be great.

We also held a short Memorable Service, recognizing Canada’s past and present Veterans.

A number of Shriner’s and Masons attended the November 11th. Remembrance Day Service at the JPII High School. This Special Service was Remembering those who gave the Ultimate Sacrifice during the 1st World War, 100 years ago, as well as all other conflicts throughout the World.

Cole Knutson  performed during a musical interlude, with a Clarinet version of “What a Wonderful World” and “The White Cliffs of Dover”.  I can only describe his performance as  absolutely Beautiful.

For those of you who do not recall, our Lodge sponsored Cole by giving him financial assistance to further his music career.  After witnessing this performance, it was money well spent.  We should all be proud of having assisted this young man. He is very talented.

The Annual District Golf Tournament was held at Silver Lake Golf Course, near Maidstone.  16 Members and Guests attended.  As usual a good time was had by all.
